How it is made

  1. Sowing: sacha inchi is a native vine of the Peruvian Amazon, grown in Lamas and Tarapoto with natural rainfall.
  2. Harvest: the star-shaped fruit is picked by hand 6 to 8 months after planting; the seeds are sun-dried in ventilated areas to reduce moisture and prevent mould.
  3. Cold pressing: a slow press extracts the oil without heat; the oil is then filtered to remove particles.
  4. Packaging: quality is checked in the laboratory and the oil is bottled or encapsulated, avoiding exposure to oxygen.
